“Psychoanalysis and Art: Listening and Looking Outwards and Inwards”
Dr. Michael Parsons (Dr Michael Parsons) is a training analyst of the British Psychoanalytical Society and a member of the French Psychoanalytic Federation..
His first degree was in Philosophy and Classical Literature at Oxford University. He trained and qualified as a doctor at the Middlesex Hospital in London. During his residency in psychiatry, he started psychoanalytic training at the Institute for Psychoanalysis in London. He qualified as an analyst in 1982 and has been in private practice since then. He qualified as a training analyst in 1990.
He held numerous important posts at the Institute of Psychoanalysis in London, including membership of the Ethics Committee and the Chairmanship of the Education Committee.
He is the author of several books from the field of psychoanalysis as well as more than thirty papers published in renowned journals of psychoanalysis. He has a particular interest in links between psychoanalysis and other fields of human knowledge.
He teaches at the universities in Europe and the USA.
The lecture will take place at the Institute of Mental Health, Palmotićeva 37, Belgrade, on Saturday, March 5, 2016, at 10 a.m.
