Third panel discussion – “Psychoanalysis and Sociocultural Field”

After great interest of the Belgrade audience in the panel discussions within the cycle “Psychoanalysis of Our Time” organized by the Psychoanalytical Society of Serbia in cooperation with the Belgrade City Library, another current topic i.e. the third round table is planned on the subject of:

PSYCHOANALYSIS AND SOCIOCULTURAL FIELD

The attendees will have an opportunity to find out if psychoanalysis is a hermetic discipline closed within its narrow professional framework, if it has ever been or if it is today. Where is its place in the world different from Freud’s 20th century, partly different because the psychoanalysis itself has changed it?

How do contemporary psychoanalysts see the time we live in, how do the trends of that time affect psychoanalytic theory and technique?

This panel discussion is also an exceptional opportunity for you to meet our guest Marilia Aisenstein (Marilia Aisenstein) a training analyst of the Paris Psychoanalytical Society (SPP), a European representative in the Board of the International Psychoanalytical Association, an author of a number of texts and publications on psychosomatics and a winner of the Bouvet Prize, and to listen to reflections of Milica Martinović, the PSS psychoanalyst, a versatile connoisseur of cultural history and psychoanalytic theory and author of many publications on that subject.

In addition, you will attend a new form of psychoanalytic dialogue: our guest is also Teofil Pančić, a writer and a journalist, a columnist and a literary critic of the weekly “Vreme”.

The moderator is Jasminka Šuljagić, a psychoanalyst and training analyst.

The panel discussion will be held in the Large Hall – Reading Room of the Arts Department of the Belgrade City Library,on April 17, 2015, at 7 p.m.
