The third PDS workshop was held under the common name “Transfer and counter-transfer” and was traditionally held in the PDS premises. It is a great pleasure that every new workshop is attended by an increasing number of participants, this time 41.
The workshop began with an extraordinary lecture “Transference and countertransference” by Sandra Simić, a training psychoanalyst of the PDS. Her presentation was followed by a discussion in which theoretical questions and answers were exchanged, as well as examples from clinical practice.
After the lecture, the audience was divided into three groups led by Ljiljana Milivojević, Jasminka Šuljagić and Vesna Brzev-Ćurčić, all three PDS psychoanalysts in training. It was a great pleasure to listen to the psychoanalysts in education who contributed to the presentations of their cases and stirred the groups to actively and fruitfully participate in thinking about each case. It was especially important for our Society that Maša Karleuša Volkanou, Dušica Dubljević and Goran Mijaljica made an effort and traveled to this workshop from different parts of the world in order to support the idea of holding the workshop and support their fellow psychoanalysts in education.
A special contribution was made by colleagues from other societies who presented two of their cases. Thanks for this effort.
The Organizing Committee again had their hands full with work that was done flawlessly. We noticed that a very cohesive relationship was created between our psychoanalysts in education and the listeners who used the breaks to exchange opinions, socialize, and share lunch.
We are looking forward to the fourth workshop scheduled for June 10, 2023. entitled “Analytical Listening and Interpretations” which will be held by Nina Popadić, a training psychoanalyst of the PDS.
We cannot promise, but we will do our best to meet the wish of our listeners who expressed a great desire for the workshops to continue after the summer.
