9.30 – 10.00 Arrival and registration
10.00 – 10.45 Lecture: “Basic Concepts of Psychoanalysis – an Introduction”, Aleksandar Kontić
Even to this day there is a belief, quite distant from reality, that observed from the perspective of strict positivism, psychoanalysis is a closed system of objectively unverifiable ideas and concepts close to a narrow domain of the dedicated, who, considering the diversities of new ideas, do not even understand each other very well. On the other hand, today we notice that many psychotherapeutic modalities to a greater or lesser extent rely on basic psychoanalytic concepts themselves, using them in the context of their theoretical and therapeutic premises and goals. Psychoanalysis itself, on its continuous developmental pathway, today shows the diversity of different views on the problems of its theory and practice. In all of this, basic theoretical concepts (theory of personality, theory of development, health and psychopathology, metapsychology) as well as concepts that make the essence of psychoanalytical practice (interpretation, transfer analysis, technical neutrality and countertransference analysis) remain the basic determinants that define its identity and essence.
