The Psychoanalytic Society of Serbia is pleased to announce our next clinical workshop, “Psychoanalysis and Couple Relationships”.

Both our inner nature and the interaction we have with others influence how we perceive ourselves and others, individually as well as within the relationship itself. We invite you to reflect together on the phenomenon of the couple, the dynamics of the couple in the internal and external reality, alongside the analysts of our Society and our distinguished guest from London, Aleksandra Novaković.

Aleksandra Novaković is a consultant and a guest lecturer at Tavistock Relationships in London; a training psychoanalyst and supervisor of the British Psychoanalytic Association; Psychoanalytic psychotherapist working with couples; group analyst, member of the London Institute for Group Analysis; and the author and editor of numerous publications dealing with the dynamics of couple relationships.

Through group clinical work we will try to better understand what it is that partners create together; what is the unconscious influence and contribution to couples “(mis)match”; is there such a thing as “couple mentality” and how it manifests. These are just some of the questions that will be generated and further explored through itself group work.

Professionals of various psychotherapy modalities who consider couple dynamics relevant to their work can take part in this workshop and contribute to a better understanding of couple relationships.
