  REPORT FROM THE THIRD CLINICAL WORKSHOP IN CHILD AND ADOLESCENT PSYCHOANALYSIS

THE SPECIFICS OF UNDERSTANDING ADOLESCENTS FROM A PSYCHOANALYTIC PERSPECTIVE

In the presence of more than 40 participants of this workshop, a lecture was held on whether there is something new in understanding adolescence today. The lecture was held by Vojislav Ćurčić and Vesna Brzev-Ćurčić, training psychoanalysts and supervisors of the Psychoanalytic Society of Serbia. The lecture was followed by a very constructive discussion in which both more experienced therapists and younger ones were involved.

The specificity of this workshop was that three groups of participants were formed who had the opportunity to meet, hear and discuss with three different supervisors and three different presenters of clinical material. In addition to Vojislav Ćurčić and Vesna Brzev-Ćurčić, the third supervisor was Tijana Miladinović, also a training psychoanalyst and supervisor. The presenters were three psychoanalytic women of our Society with a trio of original, dynamic, educational and difficult cases from personal practice. The fact that the presenters were analysts, and not analysts in education, gave a certain weight to this workshop. They were psychoanalysts Nataša Đerković Lukač, Danijela Galović and Olivera Aleksić Hill. The clinical material was related to their work with adolescents of different ages.

At the very end, the impressions were summarized, which pointed to the need to deal with such topics more often and the satisfaction that the participants had the opportunity to witness the movement in adolescence through presentations, as well as the nuances that make this process both the same and different.
